Thank you for your interest in adopting a stray or abandoned animal – it takes a very special person to do so! Adoption fees include a microchip, free health exam from a local veterinarian, 30 days of free pet health insurance and standard annual vaccines for dogs and cats other than the Rabies vaccination. The vaccines we give are DA2PV and Bordatella for dogs, FVRCP for cats. Adopters are responsible for going to a veterinary or vaccine clinic for booster shots for young animals, for the Rabies vaccine for all animals, and for providing aftercare for recently spayed or neutered animals.
$100 dog adoption fee
$70 cat adoption fee
All animals are spayed or neutered prior to going home with their adopter. If surgery can not be performed prior to adoption (for example, if you live out of town) you will be required to make an appointment of your own for the pet to be altered at your cost at the clinic of your choice within two weeks after adoption.
There is a 7 day period in which the adopted animal can be returned for an adoption credit if it isn’t a good match.
The shelter accepts cash and credit or debit payments for adoptions, no checks.
